Membership Structure

(Membership year is June 1 through July 30. )

1. Full Members

Full membership is open to charter schools operating within Maryland which hold a valid contract with a Maryland authorizing agency and which support the guiding principles of the Network. Full members have voting rights. Dues for member schools is $3 per student and is based on number of students.

2. Developing Charter Schools
Developing Charter Schools is a provisional membership and is open to individuals or organizations that have submitted charter school applications, but are not yet operating within Maryland. Developing Charter School status will last for a period not to exceed 24 months. Developing Charter School members do not have voting rights. Dues for Developing Charter School membership will be $100 annually.

3. Formation Groups

Formation Group membership is open to organizations or founding groups engaged in the early process of developing a charter school within Maryland. Formation Group members do not have voting rights. Dues for Formation Groups will be $75 annually.
